TCC is pleased to announce that the food pantries located at the Northeast, South and Southeast campuses closed last year due to COVID-19 will reopen by the end of August.
According to “Food Insecurity among College Students in the United States: A Scoping Review,” an article in Advances in Nutrition, an estimated 47 percent of community college students experience food insecurity. Food insecurity is defined by feedingamerica.org as “a lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy life.”
TCC students facing food insecurity can access non-perishable items at the pantries after providing documentation of enrollment and completing required forms.
