Faculty and staff art take center stage at TCC Trinity River ‘Recent Works’ exhibit

FORT WORTH, TX — A diverse collection of paintings, textiles, ceramics and mixed media — works that reflect the expressive power of artistic language — highlights a new exhibit by Tarrant County College faculty and staff at the East Fork Gallery at TCC Trinity River, 300 Trinity Campus Circle in Fort Worth.

The “Recent Works” showcase, part of the 2025 Fort Worth Art Dealers Association’s biannual Fall Gallery Night, runs through Oct. 3. Admission is free.

An opening reception from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, aligns with FWADA’s citywide celebration. A series of brief artist talks, which begin at noon, is free and open to the public.

The East Fork Gallery joins more than 30 museums and alternative spaces in welcoming the public to Fort Worth’s art scene. From traditional galleries to street corners, during Fall Gallery Night the city becomes a living canvas for creativity.

“As TCC celebrates its 60th anniversary, we reflect on the rich history and enduring legacy of our institution,” said TCC Trinity River President Sean Madison. “This fall’s “Recent Works” exhibition not only celebrates the present but also honors the creative spirit that has been part of our community for six decades. It showcases art from individuals shaping our campus in their day-to-day roles while cultivating a hidden world of passion and expression.”

Being a featured stop in Fall Gallery Night highlights TCC’s commitment to the arts and the role the College plays in inspiring the next generation of creators.

“Our gallery is an extension of the classroom,” said Angel Fernandez, professor of art at TCC Trinity River. “It is always a pleasure to see the artwork that our faculty and staff create, as it serves as inspiration to our students. The incredible talents on display and the varied range of work attest to the importance of art. The artworks are accessible, engaging, and beautifully crafted.
