TCC Southeast’s final fall virtual exhibit features local artists

“Conversations in Clay 2020,” TCC Southeast’s final fall virtual exhibit, continues through Dec. 16. The exhibit features the ceramic work of local artists Lynette Atchley and Chris Melia.

The exhibit includes both functional and sculptural ceramic work. Both artists explore diverse subject matter, interests and techniques in their work. Jessica Battes-Grabowski, associate professor of art at TCC Southeast and the curator of the exhibit, said she selected the two artists “to show the wide range of modern ceramic art.”

Gallery Coordinator Penelope Bisbee said the display is the continuation of TCC Southeast’s “standard of exhibiting excellent local artists,” Bisbee said.
“I didn’t see any reason to stop having art exhibitions because of the pandemic. We just needed to do it virtually.”
