More than 80 students and community members joined TCC faculty and staff in the TCC Northwest Walsh Library on Oct. 18 to celebrate the Halloween season at Dead Writer’s Night.
The annual event invites participants to read selections of literature and dress in costumes representing book characters or authors. Twenty-six people read at the event, which provided food to spectators and awarded prizes such as Beats headphones and Bluetooth speakers.
Attendees included students from TCC Northwest as well as students from Brewer High School and Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, both dual credit partners.
English faculty members partnered with Walsh Library staff in executing the event, and adjunct music instructor Tak Yan Yeungwe performed a few piano pieces.
