TCC Criminal Justice Training Center Celebrates Sesquicentennial Basic Peace Office Course

FORT WORTH, Texas (Jul. 10, 2012)

WHAT:
The Tarrant County College Criminal Justice Training Center celebrates its 150th Basic Police Course. Ted Phillips, vice president for Learning at Northwest Arkansas Community College, is the guest speaker. Phillips retired from TCC in 2008 after 23 years as a dean, division chair, police academy coordinator and assistant coordinator. Phillips served as a sworn police officer in Texas for 17 years, including Southlake Chief of Police and 11 years with the Fort Worth Police Department.

In operation since 1980, the Tarrant County College Criminal Justice Training Center on the Northwest Campus is committed to serving the training needs of the law enforcement community and the community at large. In addition to the Basic Peace Officer Academy, TCC offers an in-service training program through Continuing Education.
