Annual Surplus Sale Friday

Surplus furniture and equipment will be sold Friday at TCC’s annual live auction on Northeast Campus. The preview begins at 8 a.m. and the auction starts at 10 a.m. The sale is at the District Physical Plant warehouse and in the student parking lot adjacent to the building on the Grapevine Highway side of the Campus.

The auction is open to employees, students and the public. To be eligible to place a bid during the auction, it is necessary to register with the auctioneer conducting the sale. Valid identification is required to register.

Objects offered for sale include office furniture, electronics and a variety of equipment including exercise, food service, multimedia, computer and janitorial. Items will be sold in lots and in “as is” condition, with no warranty or guarantee.

The auctioneer accepts payment in cash, MasterCard. and Visa. Checks also are accepted with a letter from the bank guaranteeing payment and a driver’s license.

After payment, buyers may prepare to load their purchases by placing their vehicles in a line in the designated area. TCC personnel will direct them to their purchase and check invoices to ensure the correct merchandise is picked up. Buyers are responsible for loading purchases into vehicles, providing supplies required and for removing items in their entirety. Nothing may be left behind.

Check out is on a first-come, first serve basis. To pick up items on the day of the auction, purchasers must be in line by 5 p.m. Anyone who is not in line at that time must pick up items Monday, May 10, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Neither TCC nor the auctioneer is responsible for items left on the premises after 5 p.m. Friday.
