The work of TCC’s top art students is being featured in the Front Gallery of the Fort Worth Community Arts Center. Students were selected by campus to participate in the 2010 Biennial Tarrant County College Student Art Competition and Exhibition.
The exhibit begins today, March 5, continuing until Tuesday, March 30. Exhibit hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. A closing reception will be 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 27.
Fort Worth artist Terri Thornton, curator of education at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, is the juror. Thornton’s work spans nearly two decades and includes exhibits at Contemporary Arts Fort Worth and the Barry Whistler Gallery Wichita Falls Museum of Art.
“This exhibition is an excellent opportunity for students to gain experience in a competition on a professional level,” said Northwest Art Instructor Chris Cunningham, exhibit curator.
