South Campus Sponsors Drive for Haiti and Chile

A food/clothing drive for Haiti and Chile earthquake survivors will kick off Monday, March 8, in the Student Center Living Room, SSTU 2105. Sponsored by the South Campus International and Public Affairs Club, the drive continues through March 31. The drive is organized as part of the group’s focus on “thinking globally, acting locally,” said I-PAC sponsor Assistant Government Professor Myrtle Freeman.

The kickoff is being held in conjunction with a free lecture on Haiti. Freeman will discuss “The Haitian Revolution and the Spirit of Resilience.” The lecture is from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Containers to collect food and clothing will be available downstairs in the Student Center. More information is available from Freeman at myrtle.freeman@tccd.edu or 817-515-4638 and I-PAC member Seth Brech at brechish@yahoo.com or 817-201-5221
