TCC Trustee Gwendolyn Morrison, 76, has spent enough time in public office to know a rule can sound neutral and still make a difference on what groups benefit — and who’s left out. Outside a legally called board meeting, she has no formal authority. But when Morrison takes her seat, with a quorum present and an agenda posted, her power begins.
At a recent board meeting, she questioned how TCC leaders and fellow trustees could fight harder for the money students need. “We can’t simply accept someone else’s assertion that that’s enough,” she said in an interview with Fort Worth Report.
