TCC to kick off the Texas State Fair
Fun new foods coming to the Texas State Fair include Fried Soul Food and Dim Sum Burritos, but chicken pot pie is hard to beat for comfort food. That’s what two instructors in the Culinary Arts program at TCC Southeast will be whipping up.
Award-winning chefs Katrina Warner and Alison Hodges will do a cooking demonstration for the crowds. “I will show how to break down a chicken and then make the filling,” Warner said. “Alison will demonstrate how to make the biscuit top. We’ll answer questions, promote the program a bit, hand out flyers and then give samples to the participants as they exit.”
The 45-minute demonstration marks the 9th or 10th consecutive appearance (Warner forgets just which) by the Culinary Arts program at the State Fair.
