TCC students to learn the dangers of impaired or distracted driving

To promote safe transportation habits, Tarrant County College South will host UNITE’s Arrive Alive Tour® on March 8, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at TCC South’s Student Center Patio. The tour is created by UNITE, a tech organization that promotes social responsibility.

During the event, students can take part in immersive activities  designed to help them experience and better understand the risk of hazardous driving behaviors. Participants can try a state-of-the-art simulator that replicates the experience of driving while distracted or under the influence of alcohol or marijuana. This allows them to examine their behavior in a dangerous situation without the actual threat and consequences.

UNITE’s Arrive Alive Tour collaborates with safety offices, government agencies, educational institutions, communities, US military bases, and corporations. This event offers students an opportunity to learn more about UNITE a leading organization for health and wellness in America and their approach for promoting safe driving through innovative and engaging technology methods.
