Natalie Russell, instructor of biology at TCC Connect, is among the 2020 Distinguished Educators as selected by the Instructional Technology Council, an affiliated council of the American Association of Community Colleges.
Russell said she is “encouraged and honored” by the award, for which she was nominated by Cristina Sullivan, dean of academic affairs at TCC Connect.
“Not only did Natalie receive the Chancellor’s Excellence for Exemplary Teaching Award this past fall,” Sullivan said, “but she also is truly dedicated to student engagement and success. She takes the time to build stellar online courses; creates concise, creative and course-relevant videos; and also has a sense of humor adding to the social presence so needed in online courses.”
Russell and other awardees will be recognized at a live ceremony on March 24 during the Instructional Technology Council’s virtual eLearning Conference.
