TCC South to host 8th annual Intergenerational Community Conversation – Oct. 4

Organizers are encouraging community members and the TCC family to pack TCC South’s Student Union Building on Friday, Oct. 4, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for the 8th annual Intergenerational Community Conversation.

Every year, TCC hosts the Intergenerational Community Conversation to promote civic responsibility, community engagement and capacity building along with developing practical solutions for community concerns and knowledge building. This year’s theme is “Why Equity, and Why Now?”

Several breakout sessions will be offered to enrich the community’s thinking about issues important to all North Texans, from the Silent Generation to Generation Z. Topics include age and generational equity, voter equity, judicial equity, realty equity and health equity.

This year’s keynote speaker is Ashley Robinson, assistant coach for the WNBA’s Dallas Wings and 10-year WNBA veteran. She is a Jr. NBA Coach of the Year and represents the Dallas Wings on a national level for that program. Robinson is expected to discuss equity in the sports and communications industries.
