Tarrant County College is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting a variety of educational and cultural events as part of its commitment to serving the community. The national observance officially runs Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.
TCC’s 2019 Districtwide event, “Abrazando al Exito,” (Embracing Success) will be hosted by TCC Trinity River on Oct. 10 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Action Suites on the fourth floor of the campus, 300 Trinity Campus Circle, in downtown Fort Worth. The theme for the 10th celebration is “Embracing Success.”
Activities scheduled throughout the District include guest speakers such as WFAA-TV 8 News Anchor Cynthia Izaguirre, a Dallas native and graduate of the University of North Texas on Sept. 19, a special screening of Selena, celebrating the life of the Queen of Tejano music on Sept. 17 as well as lectures and exhibits.
