Spring events help students, community connect to careers

In keeping with its commitment to serving the community, Tarrant County College Career Services offices are hosting several events this spring to help job seekers connect with employers and improve their career readiness.

The fifth annual College-Wide Job Fair will be held Wednesday, March 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. at TCC Southeast (2100 Southeast Pkwy., Arlington). Sponsored by all TCC campuses and the TCC Foundation, the fair is open to students and the public, with candidates from all industries and all experience levels encouraged to attend. Approximately 50 employers will recruit for full-time, part-time and seasonal positions, as well as paid internships. The event will be held in the TCC Southeast ballroom and commons. Job seekers can register at tccd.edu/alumni; click on “Job Fair.” Employers who wish to participate should contact Quitera Lomax at 817-515-3592.

“This is a great opportunity for students and members of the community to connect with some of the top companies in our region,” said Gina Maloy, coordinator of Career Services for TCC Southeast. “We encourage all job seekers to bring copies of their résumé, dress professionally and be ready to network and meet employers.”

This event is the result of collaboration between the 5 campus Career Services Departments and TCC Foundation.  The event is an opportunity for community employers to connect with and recruit students, alumni and community members for employment opportunities.  Proceeds collected from employer registration benefit the Tarrant County College District-wide Career Services Scholarship for TCC students.
