TCC Connects Adult Students to Career Pathways

Tarrant County College is helping adult learners get on the pathway to in-demand careers. On Saturday, March 31, the College’s Northwest Campus Center of Excellence for ESL/ESOL/GED/Citizenship will host a Career Pathways Expo, open to all current and prospective students, including those in ESL (English as a Second Language) and GED (General Education Development) programs.

The event will take place 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at TCC Northwest (4801 Marine Creek Pkwy., Fort Worth, WFAB Building walkway). Attendees will find resources that help them transition into credit and Community & Industry Education programs such as logistics and supply chain management, aviation, business and music. The event also will provide testing, advising, registration and financial aid information.

“TCC’s ESL and GED programs give students the knowledge they need to transition into college and careers,” said Lourdes Davenport, coordinator for the Center of Excellence for ESL/ESOL/GED/Citizenship. “We’re also committed to providing them the tools and resources to take their next step, and that’s what the Career Pathways Expo is all about.”

TCC offers ESL and GED classes across Tarrant County. Find more details on Adult Education on the TCC website.
