Tarrant County fire responders to participate at Fire Service Training Center
FORT WORTH, Texas (March 21, 2016)
WHAT:
First responders from major public agencies throughout Tarrant County will participate in a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI)/Disaster Drill at the Tarrant County College Northwest Campus Fire Service Training Center (FSTC).
The scenario provides an opportunity to use a real disaster event to assess the needs and capabilities of participating entitles. It will involve an F-16 that crashes into a building, a car, a cab and a trailer. As many as 25 victims will be transported to John Peter Smith Hospital as part of the exercise.
From 75 to 100 participants are expected from agencies including the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, the Fort Worth fire and police departments, Fort Worth Office of Emergency Management, MedStar, John Peter Smith Hospital and fire departments from the cities of Azle, Benbrook, Lake Worth and Saginaw.
