TCC Southeast Campus Dedicates Library

WHAT:
In recognition of four decades of service to Tarrant County College, including 15 as the first female campus president of a TCC campus (TCC Southeast), Judith J. Carrier will be recognized when the Southeast Campus Library is dedicated in her honor. 
 
This TCC facility represents the second to be named after a founding campus president. The Michael Saenz Conference Center on TCC Northwest Campus is named for its founding president.

OTHER:
Carrier joined TCC in 1971 as a counselor and teacher in the psychology department at the Northeast Campus, where she also served as chair of the department of Student Services. In 1975, she moved to the Northwest Campus where she served as dean of Student Development Services, dean of Career Education and dean of Instruction. She became the founding president of Southeast Campus in 1996 where she served until her retirement in 2011. 
 
Several proclamations will be presented including ones from the offices of U.S. Congresswoman Kay Granger, District 12; State Rep. Chris Turner, District 101; and Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck.
