Student Leadership Academy: Time Management

Students will learn valuable skills to help balance school, work, study-time and extra-curricular activities.  Students will receive planners and participate in time-management scenarios to promote skill-building.  Topics of discussion will include:

  • Effective time management
  • Scheduling for success
  • Balancing life:  monthly, weekly and daily

16th Leadership eXperience Summit: “Leading and Social Change”

The Center for Leadership Development at Trinity River Campus presents its 16th Leadership eXperience Summit featuring State Sen. Wendy Davis.  This former Tarrant County College student will share leadership secrets that have established her as a top leader in politics and an inspiration to thousands of students.  Her speech will be followed by breakout sessions led by Tarrant County College faculty and staff to enhance leadership skills while inspiring community involvement.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided at no cost. RSVP at Volunteer Hub.

Leadership Retreat

The TCC SE Student Activities Office is inviting students who have a desire to excel as tomorrow’s leaders to a TCCD Leadership Retreat. This is a free event and is a first-come, first-served basis. We will close the registration at 25 students. Students must bring sleeping bags or bedding, pillow, personal toiletries, comfortable clothing, and personal medications. Bring vending machine money if you wish. Bring $10 cash if you would like to participate in horseback riding on Saturday.
