The Women in New Roles program will celebrate its 35th anniversary with a banquet on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, beginning at 6:15 p.m.  The evening’s highlight will be a presentation from special guest, Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price.

Mayor Price is a Fort Worth native and graduate of Arlington Heights High School and the University of Texas at Arlington.  As a businesswoman herself, Mayor Price understands the importance of creating new opportunities for women in both their personal and professional lives.  Attendees will be able to hear some of her wisdom and show support for Women in New Roles.

The Women in New Roles program is a for-credit program created to help women in the transition of returning to school and in personal and career advancement. Program elements include practice for resume writing and interviewing, group mentoring, networking, and much more.
