Northwest Campus recently hosted a spring rock-concert series to encourage students to set goals for themselves and raise awareness of the Achieving the Dream initiative, which is designed to increase student access and success.
An Eclectic Mix of Students and Sounds
The series featured TCC students, some of whom achieved their dreams of performing in front of a live audience for the first time. Musical styles ranged from the acoustic folk sound of Will Shotwell to the hard-driving rock of local band Fight Fire with Friends.
Students Share Their Dreams
In the audience, students took turns writing their dreams on beach balls and talking with campus staff members about the meaning behind Achieving the Dream.
