TCC Northwest Campus Hosts “Reading Circus”

FORT WORTH, Texas (Apr. 26, 2012)

WHAT:
Tarrant County College Northwest Campus will host “The Marine Creek Reading Festival: Reading Circus,” a festival designed to excite children about reading. The festival is sponsored by the Northwest Campus Walsh Library in conjunction with Score A Goal in the Classroom, a Tarrant County nonprofit organization.

Saturday, April 28
8 to 11 a.m.

OTHER:
Kendall Morris, Miss Texas 2011, will kick off the event reading from Kendall Can, the children’s book she wrote about pursuing her goal of becoming a baton twirler. About 200 students from Eagle Mountain-Saginaw and Fort Worth Independent School District elementary schools are expected to participate and receive free books, backpacks and some school supplies. More than 1,000 books have been donated. Entertainment includes performances by the Mosaic Dance Project.
