FORT WORTH, Texas (May 31, 2011) Tarrant County College students will have access to more than 740 scholarships for the upcoming academic year, according to Joe McIntosh, TCC Foundation executive director.
McIntosh said the projection was based upon anticipated awards by TCCF, Birdville Independent School District and scholarships provided by community organizations.
TCCF administered 562 scholarships, totaling $554,702, during the 2010-11 academic year, compared to 220 for the 2009-10 academic year, which totaled $287,286.
TCCF is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization classified under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
