The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board has highlighted SureStart, a program for under-prepared, first-time-in-college students at TCC’s Southeast Campus. The Coordinating Board recognized our program in its press kit for a news conference in Austin on April 14. Purpose of the news conference was to debut a student success handbook called Institutional Strategies for Student Success.
The handbook also cited SureStart, noting that students who participate in the program, on average, complete more semester hours and earn higher grades than students not in the program.
