Spring has sprung at South Campus where its “Spring Into Action” celebration leaps into action Wednesday, April 6.

Health Fair

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the cafeteria area of the Student Center you will be able to take advantage of health screenings and HIV testing, donate blood or sign up for the marrow donor registry and gather wellness-related information.

Career/Job Fair

Employers will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the cafeteria to talk about entry-level and professional full-time and part-time positions. Check out representatives from Camp Fire USA, the cities of Arlington and Burleson, Health Care Services Group Inc., Medrec, Social Security, Workforce Solutions of Tarrant County, to name a few.

Student Organization Fair

Be sure to take time to chill from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. as you learn about student organizations during the “Spring Fling” in the Student Center Patio. This year’s carnival will include a live band as well as the campus favorite, “Pie-a-Professor.”

Two-Mile Fun Run-Walk

Even with all of the activities of the day, you’ll still have plenty of time to help the American Red Cross in the “Spring to Spring 2 Mile Walk-Run.”

The entry fee is five travel-sized toiletry items or a $5 minimum donation—checks payable to the American Red Cross. The fun walk-run was put together by the Health and Physical Education Department, Student Activities and Community Outreach.

Be on the lookout for Shannon Worthington of the American Red Cross. She’s planning to join the fun of the walk-run.
