Delivered Fresh, Right to Your Inbox

With TCC Buzz’s fresh makeover, I love the idea of folks visiting these beautiful pages every day, but I know that for some of you it might be more convenient to receive the Buzz articles in your Outlook inbox via an RSS feed.

Well, I’ve outlined the steps for you—just promise me you’ll come back to visit our lovely pages to read comments to various stories posted by others . And most definitely come back to add your own comments!

I will be highlighting some of the other features of our new Buzz next week, so be sure to check back then and let us know what you think!

Which version of Outlook are you using?

If you’re using Outlook 2007 or 2010, you can follow the steps below. If you are currently using Microsoft Office and Outlook 2003 you will need to submit an Employee Help Desk Request to have Office/Outlook 2010 installed on your computer.

Setting up the RSS Feed

To subscribe to this blog via an RSS feed through Outlook:

  1. Click the “Articles” RSS icon that can be found at the top of the Buzz pages.
  2. When the RSS Feed page opens, select Microsoft Outlook from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click “Subscribe Now.”
  4. This will automatically pull up your Outlook. An RSS Feed dialog box will appear.
  5. Click “Advanced.”
  6. In the feed name box, type TCC Buzz.
  7. Delivery location of articles—choose one:
    –Straight to your inbox (or other folder):
    Click “Change Folder”
    Click the Inbox folder, then “OK.”
    Click “OK” to finish your RSS Feed Options.
    –RSS Feed feed folder:
    Click “OK” to finish your RSS Feed Options.
  8. You should now be back to the original RSS Feed dialog box. Click “Yes” to allow the feed to be created.
