The Northeast Campus Forensics Team recently returned from a regional competition of nine colleges with several wins. Sean Gilliland placed second in Parliamentary Debate, third in Impromptu Speaking, and fourth in Extemporaneous Speaking. Elizabeth Price placed fourth in Prose Interpretation and in Dramatic Interpretation. Rafael Gonzalez placed seventh in Prose Interpretation, and Courtney Stewart took sixth place in Dramatic Interpretation.
The competition was held at Tyler Junior College on March 11-13 and was sponsored by Phi Rho Pi, which is committed to increasing knowledge and appreciation of forensics at junior and community colleges.
Assistant Speech Professor Lisa Benedetti, Adjunct Drama Professor Jacob Cabe, Adjunct Speech Professor Paulinda Krug and Associate Drama Professor Stephen Thomas are the coaches/advisors.
