Trinity Students Learn Transfer Process

Students at Trinity River Campus have the opportunity to not only learn how to transfer to a university during a week of activities but those who attend at least four events are eligible to win a bookstore gift card.

Sessions begin today with “Transfer Workshop: What’s Next After Community College” at noon in the Discovery Center, TRTR 3102. Lunch will be provided.  Pre-registration is available at

Part one of the two-part “Career Exploration Workshop: Career Assessment” is offered today at 12:30 or 2 p.m. or Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. in the Computer Lab TREF 2105. Part two, “Career Exploration Workshop: Assessment Results and Interpretation” will be held at noon or 2 p.m. Friday in the Discovery Center, TRTR 3102. Pre-registration is available at

Other activities this week include “Career Jeopardy” Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Main Street near the Riverfront Café  and “College Signing Days: Degree Planning for Success” on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Advising and Counseling Center, TRTR 1408M.

College representatives from 15 universities will be on Trinity River for half-hour intervals during the “University Information Sessions” Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Leadership Center, TREF 1501C.

The schedule by day is:
Tuesday: Texas Wesleyan University, Tarleton State University, Baylor University, Texas Tech University and Dallas Baptist University.
Wednesday: Texas Christian University, Bellevue University, Southern Methodist University, Hardin-Simmons University and Texas Woman’s University.
Thursday: Texas State University, The University of Texas at Arlington, The University of North Texas, Texas A&M University and Oklahoma State University.
