School Administrator to Share Past at Summit

Fort Worth school administrator Danna Diaz will share her experiences as a former New York gang member during the Eighth Leadership Experience Summit Friday, Oct. 15, from 12:45 to 3:30 p.m. at the Trinity River Campus in the Energy Auditorium.

Diaz, director of Student Engagement and School Completion for FWISD, will be joined by a panel of community leaders discussing the theme: “Leading Change: Understanding Difference.” This event concludes Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrations at Trinity River.

Panelists will include State Representative Marc Veasey, Fort Worth City Councilman Sal Espino, YWCA Director Marcy Paul, Texas Christian University Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Darron Turner, TCU Director of the Center for Latino/a Church Studies Luis Bernard, entrepeneur,  Christina Elbitar, Trinity River Campus President Tahita Fulkerson, TR Director of Continuing Education Tiffany Lopez Hamiilton and TR Associate Psychology Professor Hector Menchaca.
