Time to Rock n Enroll

Everything is falling into place for a fun day of free food and family-centered activities on Saturday, July 24, when Trinity River Campus hosts its Second Annual Rock ’n’ Enroll Enrollment Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bring your family and friends to work out  with Nintendo Wii, check your health with blood pressure monitoring and share your talent with karaoke. Storytelling, face painting, animal balloons and a bounce house are among activities planned for children.

Tours and free drawings will be conducted throughout the day. KISS FM will be on site. Free parking is available in the TCC garage at Belknap and Cherry streets.

Prospective students will be able to get information about  an array of services including advising, financial aid, testing, business services and registration. Those who enroll in courses will also be entered for a chance to win a free class and a TCC bookstore gift card. Free one-on-one résumé evaluation and assistance will also be available to all who attend.

A Nash Academic Challenge meeting will be held at 11 a.m. with Nash Elementary School parents and students. After high school graduation, the Challenge provides an opportunity for Nash Elementary students to attend TCC tuition-free.

At noon, artist Richard Baggett, whose work has been exhibited nationally and abroad, will unveil two pieces that he has lent to Trinity River Campus. The sculptures may be enjoyed free of charge in the north Sculpture Garden from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  Beginning Aug. 2, hours will be extended to include Fridays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m..
