A photo exhibit drawn from the collection of noted Fort Worth photographer Calvin Littlejohn kicks off Juneteenth activities today at Southeast Campus. The exhibit, spanning five decades, continues through Thursday in the Southeast Library from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Ron Abrams, a lecturer on urban Texas African-American community history and Littlejohn’s grandson, will speak Thursday at noon in the North Ballroom. His lecture will focus on the cohesiveness of the African-American communities throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It will include a digital slideshow of his grandfather’s photographs documenting social change chronicled from the 1940s to the 1980s.
