Fall Enrollment Increases 12 Percent

It’s official—TCC has raised the bar once again. With 44,355 students enrolled districtwide as of the Sept. 9 census day, this fall’s numbers are up 12 percent over the fall 2008 total of 39,596.

Trinity River’s final headcount 3,717 also set a new standard, surpassing the 3,000 students originally expected.

Kudos is deserved all around to the faculty and staff who made another record-setting year possible on all campuses.

Northwest Campus posted the largest percentage increase of 14.5, pushing its overall enrollment to 11,548. South Campus increased 4.8 percent to 11,695 students; Northeast Campus increased 7.6 percent to 16,209 students; and Southeast increased 7 percent to 12,861 students.

African-American student enrollment increased 17.5 percent districtwide, and Hispanic enrollment increased 18.7 percent.
