FORT WORTH, Texas — Tarrant County College continues its record-setting enrollment trend, opening the spring 2026 semester with 47,578 students — a nearly 14% percent increase from spring 2022. Last spring TCC enrolled 46,681.
Spring enrollment growth also is reflected in TCC’s dual credit and Early College High School populations. More than 12,000 students – roughly a quarter of the total population – were dual enrolled. These young scholars gain early access to college coursework with support for workforce readiness.
With multiple start dates based on program offerings, spring enrollment is expected to keep increasing. Registration for the second eight-week term continues through March 23. Visit www.tccd.edu for class schedules.
“Reaching a new enrollment record is a testament to this community’s continued partnership and belief in our mission,” Chancellor Elva LeBlanc said. “We’re honored that more families are choosing our schools. We remain committed to providing a world‑class education for every learner.”
Dr. LeBlanc said TCC’s enrollment growth is driven by programs that respond to workforce needs, forward‑thinking teaching practices and the College’s expanding national reputation.
“We’re opening doors for students who may never have imagined pursuing higher education. And we’re preparing them with the skills to step confidently into a career or continue their studies at a four‑year institution.”
Celebrating 60 years of excellence and impact in 2025, Tarrant County College is one of the nation’s largest higher education institutions and boasts the second lowest tuition of Texas’ Top 10 community colleges. A comprehensive two-year college with six campuses in Tarrant County and online classes, TCC offers a range of opportunities for learners of all ages and backgrounds.
