Tarrant County College and Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County open Alliance Employer Hub, expanding career services for students

FORT WORTH, Texas — In a move that redefines workforce-ready education in North Texas, Tarrant County College and Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County have signed an agreement to open their Alliance Employer Hub at TCC’s Erma C. Johnson Hadley Northwest Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation and Logistics, putting high-demand, high-wage careers within reach of every student.

The hub will place Workforce Solutions staff at the Northwest Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation and Logistics, giving students on-site access to job matching, employer connections, hiring events and career navigation services. The goal is a seamless talent supply between TCC’s academic programs and the employers who need this talent, in the heart of one of North Texas’ fastest-growing commercial and industrial areas.

“TCC has always believed that education is only transformative when it leads to opportunity. This partnership makes that belief tangible,” said TCC Chancellor Elva LeBlanc. “By embedding employer connections, job placement and real-time labor market intelligence at the Northwest Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation and Logistics, we’re not just closing the gap between the classroom and the career, we’re eliminating it.”

The Alliance Corridor, which includes Perot Field Fort Worth Airport, hosts several major employers in aviation, logistics, manufacturing and distribution. The hub is designed to tailor recruitment, retention and training assistance for those employers and to expand on-campus engagement through WSTC hiring events, employer roundtables and workforce discussions.

“This partnership strengthens how we align employers with the talent and labor market insights they need to grow and compete,” said WSTC Executive Director Robert Sturns. “By bringing workforce services directly into the Alliance Employer Hub we’re reducing barriers to hiring, improving access to real-time workforce solutions and supporting continued economic growth across Tarrant County.”

Under terms of the agreement, TCC will dedicate physical space and utilities at the Northwest Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation and Logistics for three WSTC Business Services workstations. The College also will promote hub services to students and graduates, refer job-ready candidates to WSTC placement services, and integrate WSTC labor market data into program review and curriculum development.

WSTC will staff the hub and leverage federal funding. Through the Alliance Employer Hub, WSTC will manage the WorkInTexas.com job placement database of qualified TCC graduates considering Alliance-area work.

For students the benefits are immediate as the partnership expands access to paid internships, apprenticeships and on-the-job training. For employers the campus should quickly be recognized as a regional source of credentialed, work-ready professionals.

“The Alliance Employer Hub represents a meaningful step forward in aligning education with workforce opportunity,” said TCC Northwest President Zarina Blankenbaker. “By bringing Workforce Solutions directly onto our campus, we are creating a clearer path from learning to employment while reinforcing our role as a workforce partner to employers across the Alliance corridor.”

The Alliance Employer Hub further positions TCC as a national model for how community colleges can bridge education and employment. With one of the busiest aviation and logistics stretches in the country as a backdrop, the TCC Northwest Center of Excellence for Aviation, Transportation and Logistics is situated to demonstrate what workforce-aligned higher education looks like at scale.
