TCC’s tagline is Success Within Reach. Our latest graduates have reached that milestone in their educational journey at TCC. In this series, we want to introduce you to some of them.
“I wanted to attend TCC because of its affordability, diversity, and amazing staff and students,” said Paulo Luna, who is graduating with an Associate of Arts in Business Administration and his high school diploma at the same time, thanks to Dual Credit. TCC was the college of choice for dual credit for his high school, Harmony School of Innovation – Fort Worth.
Paulo says being able to graduate with both his associate degree and high school diploma at the same time is his greatest accomplishment. “I feel very excited and proud of myself for being able to complete them. It came as a surprise to me that I was able to since my parents completed college after high school in a traditional manner.”
In addition to his rigorous studies, Paulo worked at Chick-Fil-A, so he had to stay persistent and focused while managing his workload. He took dual credit classes at his high school and online. He also took some summer and Wintermester classes.
Following graduation, Paulo will be transferring to the University of North Texas to complete his bachelor’s degree. Ultimately, he wants to complete his MBA. “The rationale behind a business major was to have the flexibility and diversity the field offers,” he said. “A major in business will allow me to explore and grow in a variety of fields.” He is interested in real estate, property management and property rental.
