Tarrant County College honors Hispanic Heritage Month with several events held at campuses across the District. Events are open to the community.
Various celebrations kick off the month:
TCC Southeast will host Mercado Cultural on September 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Ballroom/Commons area. Cultural food, games and traditional entertainment will be provided.
Also on September 15, the Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-Off takes place at TCC South in the South Student Center from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Food, activities and live music are included.
Latin dances will be taught at ¡Baila conmigo! Come dance with us! hosted by TCC Northeast. The event runs from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on September 21 at the Center Corner in the TCC Northeast Student Center.
Fiesta Northwest will be held at TCC Northwest on September 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the WTLO Lobby and the surrounding area. The event includes music, food and activities.
Additionally, TCC Trinity River offers Curanderismo Lunch & Learn on September 29 from 2 to 3 p.m. in TRHA 2022. Attendees can explore curanderismo, a Mexican American healing tradition, with renowned curandero Cheo Torres, Ph.D. A light lunch spread will be available.
