The TCC Northwest Spanish faculty, in partnership with the Walsh Library, will present “Dia del Idioma Español” on Thursday, April 22, to mark the International Day of the Spanish Language.
The presentation, from 4 to 5 p.m., is open to the general public as well as TCC faculty, staff and students by clicking on the link, via MS Teams. Students and faculty will be reciting authentic and classic poetry in Spanish; library staff will present many other resources in Spanish.
“The goal of the event is to enlighten students and participants about the importance of the Spanish language and some of its history,” said Assistant Professor of Spanish Mayra Fuentes, “and also to present resources readily available to them at their campus library, either for personal usage or even to share with family members, such as children’s stories in Spanish.”
Additional information is available from Fuentes at Mayra.Fuentes@tccd.edu.
