In its March issue, Hispanic Outlook on Education Magazine named Tarrant County College one of the nation’s Top 25 Community Colleges for Hispanics. TCC is ranked #5 for community colleges with the greatest total enrollment of Hispanic students for 2018-2019 and #10 in the number of associate degrees awarded to Hispanic students in 2019.
Out of the 98,612 students enrolled at TCC during the 2018-2019 school year, more than 36 percent were Hispanic. This was the largest ethnic group of students enrolled at TCC.
Of the more than 10,000 associate degrees awarded, 20 percent – 2,067 were granted — to Hispanic students. For decades, TCC has provided wide-ranging support to Hispanic students, including the Organization of Latin American Students – Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher Education and special events during Hispanic Heritage Month.
Rankings are based on data derived from The Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics and Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.
