I would like to welcome you to the fall 2018 edition of the Northwest Link, our bi-annual e-newsletter. This newsletter is an opportunity for us to showcase how the Northwest Campus continues to make strides toward success through the terrific work we do for our students and community.
As you read about the work we have chosen to spotlight in this edition of Northwest Link, you will see the dedication and hard work of our faculty and staff. Tarrant County College’s mission is to provide affordable, open access to quality teaching and learning as well as a foundation for lifelong learning. We are also here to be a resource for the community. This edition of the newsletter spotlights efforts to fulfill the College’s mission.
You will learn about Pathways Exploration Days and Junior Achievement in a Day, both designed to help students make important decisions about their education and careers. We also have stories about the Marine Creek Creative Writing Conference and Dead Writer’s Night, opportunities for faculty, staff, students and the community to engage in creativity and fun. We also have an update on the Community Food Market, which connects hundreds of families each month with the food they need.
I hope this issue of Northwest Link speaks not only to the high quality of work we are doing at TCC Northwest, but of how many exciting things that are taking place here. Thank you, as always, for your continued support of Tarrant County College and the Northwest Campus.
Warm regards,
Zarina Blankenbaker, Ph.D.
