In an effort to ensure its commitment to being a student-ready College, the board of trustees for Tarrant County College on Thursday approved a tuition increase effective in spring 2019.
In-county residents will increase $5 to $64 per credit hour. The out-of-county resident tuition will increase $20 to $126. Tuition for out-of-state residents and international students is $305. This is the first tuition increase since the 2015-2016 academic year.
Board members approved the conservative increase in an effort to have minimal impact on the student experience.
“During deliberations about the tuition increase, the board tried to balance affordability for all TCC students without sacrificing quality,” said Louise Appleman, TCC board president.
Tuition for a full time in-county resident (15 credits) will increase to $960, still one of the more affordable tuition rates in Texas.
