Kathryn Wilbanks, physics major at TCC Trinity River, truly enjoys helping others. When she’s not studying chemistry or calculus, Wilbanks serves as a supplemental instruction leader, helping students understand academic concepts and develop study habits for success. She says her mission is to be an accessible resource for students looking to reach their academic dreams. This summer, Kathryn will achieve one of her own personal dreams: working alongside respected faculty to conduct research related to chemistry or physics. That’s because she’s been selected to attend a 10-week, paid chemistry research opportunity at TAMU-Commerce, only one of 10 students chosen to participate in this research experience.
