TCC Hosts Job Fair for Students and Community

In keeping with its goal of serving students and the community, Tarrant County College will host its fourth annual College-Wide Job Fair from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28 at TCC Northeast (828 W. Harwood Rd., Hurst, NSTU 1615A). The event will feature more than 50 employers recruiting for full-time, part-time and seasonal positions, as well as internships, and is open to students, alumni and job seekers in the community.

“The job fair is your opportunity to get in front of some of our region’s top employers,” said Stephanie Rettig, coordinator of Career Services at TCC Northeast. “We encourage candidates of all industries and experience levels to attend, dress professionally and come prepared with copies of their résumé.”

This event is the result of collaboration between five campus Career Services Departments and TCC Foundation. The event is an opportunity for community employers to connect with and recruit students, alumni and community members for employment opportunities. Proceeds collected from employer registration benefit the Tarrant County College District-wide Career Services Scholarship for TCC students.

The event will offer free headshots and a scholarship giveaway. All employer registration fees support the Career Services scholarship program.

“The City of Hurst is excited to partner with TCC for the upcoming College-Wide Job Fair at TCC Northeast, our neighbor here in Hurst,” said Matia Messemer, executive director of human resources for the City of Hurst. “We recognize the caliber of students coming from TCC programs, and we’re excited about the opportunity to consider skilled candidates with a strong work ethic for careers as well as summer jobs with the City in multiple capacities. We look forward to meeting TCC students visiting the City’s booths at the job fair.”

Job seekers may sign up on the TCC website or simply show up at the fair. Employers and recruiters should fill out the registration form, available online.

Event sponsors include City of Hurst, JBI Electrical Systems Inc., Greater Texas Landscapes, Dallas Police Department, Durham School Services, Sabre, PL Marketing and M&M Manufacturing. The job fair is hosted jointly by TCC Northeast, Northwest, South, Southeast, Trinity River and Connect Career Services offices and the TCC Foundation.
