WHAT:
Continuing Tarrant County College’s mission of being a student ready college, the TCC Trinity River Campus East Center for Health Care Professions will celebrate the nursing program’s history during a special event for alumni, community partners, faculty, as well as current and prospective students.
The evening will feature an outdoor reception with live music, food and drinks, as well as tours of the program’s state-of-the-art simulation hospital in the $185 million Center for Health Care Professions. The evening also will commemorate the establishment of the Nursing Alumni Network.
For the past 50 years, the nursing program at Tarrant County College has educated new nurse practitioners, strengthened the careers of experienced nurses and prepare innovative nurses to become progressive leaders in health care. With approximately 275 nursing graduates each year, TCC serves as a main regional pipeline to this critical occupation.
Lillie Biggins, president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, and Sandi McDermott, president of Chamberlain College of Nursing, are honorary chairs for this special alumni event.
