As part of its commitment to serving the community, Tarrant County College is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting educational and cultural events at campuses throughout the District.
The celebration honoring the cultures and contributions of Hispanic Americans runs through Oct. 15 and will include numerous guest speakers including Texas Christian University history professor Celeste Menchaca, Ph.D., community leader Jacinto A. Ramos Jr. and TCC Trinity River Spanish Instructor Janet Rodriguez. A Read-In is planned with Richard Gonzalez and month-long exhibits are on display on several campuses such as Northeast, Northwest and South.
TCC’s Districtwide event “Abrazando al Exito,” (Embracing Success) 2017 will be hosted by Northwest Campus on Oct. 5 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The theme for the eighth annual event is “Noche de Cultura.” Community leaders will be honored during the outdoor fiesta.
