WHAT:
In its commitment to student success and community involvement, the Tarrant County College Police and Fire Academies will host the fifth annual 9/11 5K Memorial Run on Sept. 11. About 100 to 150 cadets, faculty and staff are expected to participate in the 5K run and a 9.11-mile run to honor the fallen in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and in Shanksville, Penn. Members of the U.S. Air Force 301st Security Forces Squadron also will take part. Both courses begin and end at the Fire Tower, with the 9.11-mile course including a loop around Marine Creek Lake.
