TCC Board Member Gwendolyn Morrison Honored as a Great Woman of Texas

Tarrant County College Board of Trustees member, Gwendolyn Caldwell Morrison, Ph.D., was recently honored by the Fort Worth Business Press as a Great Woman of Texas. The prestigious event recognizes women for their business, civic and social contributions in the Fort Worth area, as well as their dedication to family and community.

“We are proud of Dr. Morrison for her service to the community, her long-standing commitment to TCC and the contributions she has made in furthering education,” said TCC Chancellor Erma Johnson Hadley.

Morrison, who represents District 6, has served on the TCC Board of Trustees since 1976. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University and her Ph.D. from Texas Woman’s University. Morrison has worked for a number of educational institutions, including the Fort Worth ISD, where she served as director of personnel and teacher training, and at South Oak Cliff High School, where she taught family and consumer science.
