In case you haven’t heard, the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo has officially begun! The event was kick started with a parade this past weekend on Saturday, Jan. 19, and TCC made sure to get in on the fun.
Many of Trinity River Campus’s student clubs put together a float for the parade and did a great job representing their campus and TCC. Clubs who participated in the parade include TREE (Trinity River Equality in Education), Phi Theta Kappa-Beta Sigma Mu chapter, Trinity River Drama Club, Trinity River Natural Science Club, The Main Street Team, and the All-Stars Leadership Group. Even Toro made an appearance! He doesn’t blend in too well with the rest of the steers, though, being blue and all. Good try, Toro!

According to the Forth Worth Star-Telegram, thousands lined the street to watch the nearly 200 entries in the parade. Luckily, the warm weather and blue skies helped make the experience a perfect day out. The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is in its 117th year and runs through Feb. 9.
