North Texas Conference Focuses on Growth

FORT WORTH, Texas (Oct. 31, 2012)

“Region on the Grow” is the theme of the 16th Annual Heart of North Texas Business Conference Friday, Nov. 2, at Tarrant County College Northeast Campus, 828 W. Harwood Rd., in Hurst.  The conference begins at 9 a.m.

Robert Kembel, president and partner, JCKPL, LLC, Viridian Project, will discuss “Viridian – The Definition of a Public/Private Partnership” at the noon luncheon.

The half-day conference also includes a 9:10 a.m. presentation on “The ‘State of Politics’ as the Election Season Ends” by Allan Saxe, associate professor of political science at The University of Texas at Arlington. Walter Amaya, executive supply chain leader for GE Manufacturing Solutions, will present “A New Plant Startup: GE Locomotive Facility in Fort Worth” at 10:10 a.m. “Bell Helicopter Business Update,” will be presented at 11:10 a.m. by Robert Hastings, senior vice president and chief of staff for Bell Helicopter.

Registration and check-in for the event, hosted by Northeast Campus Continuing Education, will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Student Center, Center Corner (NSTU Room 1615A). The cost is $50. For more information or to register, contact the office of Continuing Education at 817-515-6502.
