Texas Poet Laureate to Speak at TCC Southeast Campus

Jan Epton Seale, the 2012 Texas Poet Laureate, will give an autobiographic presentation and read some of her poetry.

OTHER:
Seale is the author of seven volumes of poetry, two books of short fiction, three books of nonfiction, and nine children’s books. Her work is published nationally in such venues as The Yale Review, Texas Monthly, and Newsday.  She is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in Creative Writing. A Texas native who lives in McAllen, Seale will make the public presentation, following several earlier presentations to English, literature and poetry classes on Wednesday and Thursday.
