TCC to Receive Texas Workforce Commission Grant for Nearly 50 New Jobs

FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 13, 2012)

WHAT:
Texas Workforce Commission Chairman Tom Pauken will present a Skills Development Fund Grant check for $458,025 to Tarrant County College. It will fund training for a manufacturing consortium consisting of Ball Corp., Miller Coors, Samsill Corp., and SAFRAN Turbomeca USA.

OTHER:
The funding will create a minimum of 47 jobs and upgrade the skills of 307 incumbent employees in various job skills areas, including manufacturing and electrical systems. TCC also will receive $45,000 worth of new equipment to provide the training that will be retained by the college at the conclusion of the grant period.
